Monday

"drop dead gorgeous"

Came across this image at FFFOUND! See that? Someone ate all the cupcakes she promised. Where's my cupcake? raaaa. LOL

.....

Someone said something that annoys me and got it stuck in my head. Long story short, she make the comment "that's so out of the trend" in the eeeh-who-still-listen-to-this tone of voice after I recommend a song (La Vie En Rose) they could use. I got offended. Its either I'm "untrendy" or the fact that she's pure ignorant. She wants it romantic. La Vie En Rose not romantic enough? I recommended her a few songs. It’s too slow! Not right. Too common!!!

My head start to revolve around the word trend. It's important to follow trend, but not follow them blindly loh. You want what others have, yet you want it special and one of a kind. How can it be special when you want what others already have? ugh. To me, if you’re using it for something sentimental, shouldn't it be about what you like and how it makes you feel? Who cares how many people used it or how "out of trend it is".

Grad ceremony.

Congrats!
Congrats!
Congrats!

To all TDS graduates of the year 2008.

Was on duty today for today's graduation ceremony. Saw many seniors, say hi, say bye, say congrats and witness some drama. My job is to look organize latecomers. tsk tsk. I still don’t understand how someone can be so late for their own graduation ceremony. She took for granted that she already "registered online". Still, the invitation card clearly state the required arrival time. She wasn’t allowed to take her cert on stage because she was so late. Her mum/sister was quite aggressive. Wonder if she did get to be on stage.

Hummm….

Congrats again! This time next year, it’ll be my turn.

I'm alive!

Hello again.

I’m too lazy to write. Besides, I take like forever to actually keep a blog alive. After much thought, I’ve decided to revive my blog again. Of course, the previous entries ate put away. Haha.

Life is full of little surprises that I felt I should jot it down.

Went to work today and was lucky enough to get a seat when I board the train. Fell asleep and woke up at Raffles place to find an empty train. EMPTY! 9am in the morning? Impossible but true. I thought I overslept!

Anyway, work was alright. Jasmine surprised me with a little gift this morning. She just walk into the room and say “here, this is for you” and presented to me a blue spoon (I donno what else to call it) from Pantry Magic! Wow! I was really touched. She then complain about how a person can take forever to tie a ribbon onto a spoon.

Pantry Magic is a little but wonderful (and magical to me.) kitchen tool shop located near my work place (Holland Village). There, you can find everything you need for cooking and baking. I really looovvveee the atmosphere of the shop. Since the start of SIP, I had wanted to buy the colourful spoons already. It’s just the price that’s bothering me. I told Jasmine about the shop and the spoon before and she actually remember it. Thanks!!

After work, I had to go home alone because Jasmine is determined to catch the “bug” in the project she’s working on. I was tired and the train was annoyingly crowded and noisy. I moved to the place connecting the two cabin of the train, fearing that I might be squashed if I remain where I am. Lucky me, I found one of the two seater seat empty. Sat down and prepared to sleep. Suddenly, the lady sitting beside me asks me, in mandarin, how many more stops to Bugis. Since we’re at Red Hill, I told her about 6+ station. She then ask if I’m local, because she though I look like a Malaysian. We started talking casually about school and work. Exchange names and I even gave her my name card. She’s Ming Zhi, currently working as an assistant accountant. She’s such and sweet and kind lady. We just continue to talk until the train reaches bugis. To my surprise, she even send me an sms just now to say its nice meeting each other and goodnight. Haha weird right? But it’s kind of nice. I bet the person sitting opposite us find us weird.

Parents can really be annoying sometimes. Just when you think they are the wisest and most mature people on earth, they behave like 6 years old. Tsk tsk…it makes me feel old that I have to nag.
